Safe Handling of Home Hazardous Materials

It is important for you to know the steps you can take to keep yourself and your families safe from accidents related to home hazardous materials.

Used and “dead” batteries can remain a fire hazard. Place tape over battery terminals before disposal or recycling.
Replace batteries if they get wet or damaged.
Keep lithium batteries in a cool dry place.

* Discuss your fire escape plan with family and neighbors. Contact your building manager or the James City-Bruton VFD to discuss your plan if you need extra help escaping.

Midday on August 22nd was a typical hot and humid summer afternoon, so my wife and I stopped by SNO-TO-GO at 2229 Richmond Rd. for two mango-flavored stuffed snowballs. Sounds delicious, doesn't it?
